Staycation at Elite Marina Tower Hotel, Stockholm

Elite Hotel Marina Tower is located in a historic mill building by the water, only few minutes from Stockholm City and easily accessible with few stops with the SL boat from Nybrokajen in Stockholm. Here you get a staycation in Stockholm archipelago and at the same time in the middle of the city 🙂 The hotel offers tastefully decorated hotel rooms, a restaurant with outdoor seating and Sturebadet Marina Tower spa.

Elite Marina Tower Hotel

I had a really great staycation at Elite Marina Tower and can really recommend a stay here! It was really top class the whole stay through from check in to the spa and dinner until we needed to check out. I love that it is so easy to get here when I boarded the SL boat from Nybrokajen but also bus 53 leaves from the T-centralen or Slussen which stops at the Saltsjöqvarn stop and there is a lift down to the hotel.

Interior and Exterior

Elite Marina Tower hotel is a unique waterfront hotel in classic Saltsjöqvarn and is a 4 star hotel with first class service and magnificent views. The superior 4-star Elite Hotel Marina Tower features a 24 hour reception, laundry and housekeeping. Renovated in 2010, the property comprises 187 rooms furnished in modern design. The hotel’s restaurant SQ is located to the right of the main entrance and this is also where you have breakfast.

The room

I stayed in Elite Marina Towers suite located on the 8th floor and in room 810 which had the most magical view of Stockholm I’ve ever seen! Do you really want luxury for your staycation at this hotel then this is the room you should book 😉

This lovely suite is located in the tower of the hotel and is truly a hotel experience out of the ordinary. The interior is more reminiscent of an exclusive apartment and is ideal for both accommodation and smaller meetings. Large areas and sea views contribute to the pleasant atmosphere. The decor is tastefully elegant with a sofa group and dining room furniture. The separate bedroom is furnished with a double bed and a desk. Rooms feature parquet floors, heating, Wi-Fi and a dining area. Each room has a private bathroom fitted with a shower, hairdryer and bathrobes.

Above the sign where it says Saltsjöqvarn and under the Elite Hotel logo was our hotel room with Stockholm’s finest view! The beds were really comfy and I slept very well here! For those who want to bring the office to staycation, this room is great for that. There was also a fresh bathroom with both bath and shower, which I like. Check in is from 3pm but we arrived a little earlier and got our room already then which I thought was nice and the hotel has a generous check out time at 12pm which I thought was really good as I usually like to get up in the room and melt the breakfast a while afterwards 😉

Dog friendly hotel

Elite Marina Tower also welcomes four legged guests, which I think is absolutely fantastic! They offer a limited number of pet rooms for a supplement of SEK 200 / night (20 Euro / night) and this also includes:

• Water and food bowl to borrow
• Bags to pick up after the dog
• Dog treats

Gym

There is a gym located in the SPA section on the first floor, just before entering the pool itself. You have to pass the SPA reception to get here but more about that in the next blog post about Sturebadet Marina Tower Spa.

Summary

I can really recommend a stay here, for both a romantic overnight stay but also for business people who want to come here and work in nice rooms near the water. The food was absolutely fantastic and the service as well as the room. I like that you can come here only during the day if you want to treat yourself to a wonderful Spa experience but also have dinner in the restaurant without having to stay over at the hotel, because it is really worth coming here for either of them. Breakfast is included if you decide to stay over and it was also very good – more about that in the next blog post! 🙂
